The Stuart Police Department has an active warrant # 080343CFA for Grand Theft for the male subject in this surveillance footage. He was identified by fingerprint evidence as Roberto Cruzata H/M 01/25/1972 or 01/25/1973. Cruzata uses several dates of birth and different names. Cruzata also has other active warrants in Florida and New Jersey. He has a long criminal history of theft(s) and Distraction Type Thefts are his preference. The female in the footage was never identified, but is believed to be an accomplice with other thefts. On 02/20/2008, they entered the Passions Jewelry Store in Stuart and were able to distract the female clerk inside. They spoke both Spanish and English and had the clerk take jewelry out of the display case and leave it on the counter. They were able to steal over $31,000 in gold jewelry, mainly necklace.
